About the potter:
Eimei – Born and raised in Tokoname, he is one of Japan’s most renowned bonsai pot artists. His work ranges from affordable, user-friendly pots to highly artistic, one-of-a-kind pieces. His father, the late Youzan, was a master of glazed bonsai pots.
Highlights
・Namako glaze has been used in Tokoname for generations. Eimei’s version is especially beautiful, with fine droplets flowing gently over the surface.
・The base color is brown, blended with white and pale blue, giving the pot a unique and striking appearance.
・It suits flowering or fruit-bearing trees, as well as trees styled in the kengai (cascading) form.
