About the Potter:
Echizen-Bunzan is a bonsai potter born and raised in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. He began making bonsai pots while running a gardening shop and is now known as one of Japan’s leading pot artists.
All of his pots are hand-built, and he creates distinctive colors by layering multiple vivid glazes. His name comes from the old name of his home region and a nearby mountain.
