About the potter:
A ceramic artist specializing in Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware), with a long career in tableware production. He began making bonsai pots several decades ago for his own bonsai as a hobby. His work is known for its originality, combining the refined techniques of Kyo-yaki with a free-spirited approach unconstrained by traditional bonsai pot styles. His painting technique, in particular, is exceptional—deliberately restrained to avoid over-decoration, allowing the bonsai to take center stage.

Highlights
・Adorable puppies are painted on two sides of the pot. The model is a traditional Japanese dog, inspired by depictions in Edo-period paintings.
・Classic Japanese patterns also appear on two sides.
・This is a unique painted pot—something rarely seen before.

Thank you for viewing our pot.
